At the heart of this enterprise are John and Pat Wyatt who celebrated their 30th year in business in 2018. Pat helps to run the Farm Shop with their daughter Lizzie, and John oversees the Plant and Rose Centre. They are proud to be an independent family-run business.
In 1988, Wyatts opened their Farm Shop, selling a wide range of produce grown on the farm. The Tea Room was opened in 1993.
John Wyatt’s great-grandfather was the Head Gardener at Leeds Castle in Kent over 100 years ago, so gardening skills are in his blood! Following in his ancestor's footsteps, John trained as a mature student at Pershore Horticultural College and opened the Nursery in 1995.
He strongly believes in growing his own plants for sale (over 80% are grown on site) and this is the principle behind the Garden Centre’s reputation for top-quality plants.
Wyatt’s have also developed a speciality in roses and have 2,500 in stock.
Wyatts’ trained and friendly staff is the key to ensuring success in producing healthy plants. Providing good advice and support to our customers is important to us and Di, the Nursery Manager, and John can advise on types of plants and their positioning and care. Specific plants or trees can be ordered for you, if necessary.
John has developed another site for growing and selling a range of plants at Ells Lane in Bloxham, Oxfordshire, opposite the secondary school.
